English Translation
What is shut inside a stone is as good as honey inside a wild hive — out of reach. When the only person who knows a matter is a tight-lipped elder, however much people want to hear it, they may as well give up hope of getting it out of him.
Cultural Context
“Used as people slowly realise that questioning such a person is pointless.”
